‘Subsumed under his sound, with the yoke of his Sober Techno, and with the sky tinged with black and yellow in the midst of invisible sandstorms, which only let us feel their strength. Fierceness is mediated by a sophisticated sound design and clean structures, with well-coupled sonic layers, that stand out in unstoppable strength and force. There is no doubt that Daniel Rifaterra has done it again, this time on the Spanish platform.’

‘I don’t know if this can be considered an album or not, but I don’t care. ‘Wearin' yesterday's misfortunes like a smile’ is my largest work to date, with no more no less than 10 tracks now available on Diffuse Reality’

‘It would be stupid to say that there’s a lot of personal material there because all my productions are extremely personal. I think I can be proud of having forged my own sound through which I can express myself wether it is successful or not. But yeah, there are some tracks there that don’t care that much about the dancefloor but are a big part of my ‘Sober Techno’ imagery as well which is usually what you can expect from an album.’

‘Different BPMs, moods, sounds and, overall, Daniels, because moments in time of my recent years can be found poured into each track. As I always say, you’ll know me better as a person by listening to my music rather than talking to me.’

* #66 Top Techno Tracks

‘After the beautiful success of the first X series, Daniel Rifaterra is back on the label with another beautiful release that represents his pinpoint groove and vibe that is loved by artists such as DVS1, Rodhad, Rene Wise, Kriz and more.’

‘The ‘Dumio EP’ continues bringing my personal style by exploring it across different scenarios:’

‘ANSBACH is the typical track in search of that overwhelming empty drop, but in this case through building the momentum on my particular sober/atmospheric fashion, something I instinctively developed by listening to a lot of post-rock.’

‘I fell in love with techno around 2013 and if ya’ll remember the bangers of that time, you’ll understand that DUMIO is my personal tribute to that era through a more contemporary, hard-groovy and organic approach.’

‘I went a bit crazy on NEVERS. Dark and sad pads? Yes. A silly and happier groove and hook? Also yes. A little bit of writing on the development of the song doesn’t hurt anybody, not everything can be tool tracks.’

‘Dark, dirty and explicit stuff to wrap up the EP with WORMS, and example also of how much I love organic sprinkling on my productions. Can anybody guess the samples for this one?’

Something that started as a silly edit to close my beloved Southwest Festival in Almería quite some time ago, has led me to end up collaborating with one of my favorite artists.

I want to thank all the people I know and those I don't know who supported that first edit, because I understand that it has led me to Dellafuente, Salomon Sessions and Antonio Narváez wanting to involve me in their project 'INCURSION', and I am immensely grateful to them for that too.

Not only can you enjoy my contribution by creating a version of the 'Nana del Miedo' on all platforms, but some privileged ones were able to enjoy it live at the Dreambeach Festival, which makes my excitement twofold.

Thank you for listening.

‘The ‘Eva’ EP is a 6-track release that showcases my different scopes as a producer and that I consider my best yet.’

‘TOUL represents a moment in my career in which I felt I needed to increase my efforts on raw tool tracks for my own library. I think this hook-cut is the perfect spearhead for the release.’

‘One of my favorite techniques on the studio is sampling, and BARULA honors a TV show that inspired me a lot at that time, probably the best ever to exist: The Wire.’

‘EBNER or ‘what comes out when I want to be experimental, dark and aesthetic while playing with the sample of a meme’.’

‘Building tension on a delicate fast-paced groove and breaking it with ‘Amens’ is the perfect example on why the surprise factor is one of my fetish and the reason of EVA being one of the favs of the EP.’

‘GELOSIO is easily my personal #1. I don’t know if ‘Sad Hardgroove’ existed as a genre but it does now in any case, you know I love experimenting with different styles and moods.’

‘It’s not something usual in thechno, but I put all my efforts on the writing and script for STENSEN. There’s a very deep personal meaning behind this track, interpretation is open.’
